The manor house from the 16th century, of which the northwest corner tower is an integral part of it, is located in the cadastre of the village of Teplička nad Váhom and is one of the largest and most important secular buildings of its kind in the Žilina region. The builder of this manor house was Mikuláš Deršffy. A remarkable personality who lived in the manor house for some time was Žofia Bosniaková. To this day, she is shown great respect and admiration for her generosity and goodness.
The manor house was rebuilt several times and several owners changed in it. In addition to the aforementioned Deršffy family, the most important owners from the ranks of aristocratic families included the Wešelénys, the Lowenburgs, the Windischgrätzes, the Sinovci and others. In the recent past, the building served as a residential building. The owners of this property changed some parts of the tower by arbitrary modifications, which disturbed the original appearance of the monument. These modifications can be removed and the monument restoration of the manor house can be carried out so that its original monumental value is restored. As the owners of the building have not shown interest in the restoration for a long time, on the initiative of the civic association, the process of preparing the gradual restoration of a part of the northwest tower of the manor house for the purpose of its further use for the organization of cultural and social events for the inhabitants of the village, occasional visitors, residents of the city of Žilina and the surrounding villages began.
At present, the building shows a poor construction and technical condition. The northwest corner tower is in a state of disrepair, its crown cornice and part of the masonry show significant static cracks. Static failures and damaged roofing immediately threaten the material essence of the northwest corner tower. The existing truss structure was carefully dismantled so as not to disturb the crown of the masonry.

Tower truss construction
The shape of the roof of the tower is designed on the basis of proportional systems used in the Baroque period, the period presented. The basis of the truss structure is a beam grate made of oak wood, consisting of the main beams, into which the replacements of the binding beams are tapped. The beam grate is placed on a double mortar, which is anchored to the masonry with bolts through chemical anchors, they are connected to each other by means of angles. The supporting structure of the tower consists of wooden trusses with gusset galvanized sheets.
The arched trusses were mounted on a steel structure, then covered with boards and plated on the construction site on the ground. The entire onion part of the tower will then be laid by crane on the lower hip part, which will significantly reduce the assembly time. The lower load-bearing part of the tower consists of a system of trusses in the shape of a hip, on which the onion part of the tower will be located, consisting of a system of wooden trusses with gusset plates. The tower roofing will be made of copper sheet with a thickness of 0.6 mm, which is placed on a separating structured mat and wooden formwork. The space under the tower truss structure is insulated in the plane above the beam grate. The thermal insulation is placed on a wooden flap, on which a vapor barrier and thermal insulation are laid.

Construction of trusses above the wings
(a)The truss above the main wing (western part) is of a simple structure consisting of full ties of a truss beam placed on a mortar, which are anchored to a reinforced concrete wreath using bolts through mechanical anchors. In the middle of the binding beams there is a post – an hangman carrying the top beam, on which the rafters are saddled. The post is hung with a pair of struts. The rafters, struts and post are secured with colts. In the longitudinal direction, the truss is stabilized by strips securing the top purlin.
b) Truss above the side wing (northern part)
The truss structure above the side wing consists of two full and three intermediate trusses. Full bindings are not identical. There is a reduced full binding near the tower. The full weave consists of a truss beam, on which are drawn posts carrying the central purlin, on which the collets are placed, the collets also connect the posts with the rafters and under-rafter struts in the lower level. A second level of collets is installed under the top purlin, which ensures the rigidity of the entire structure. The collets form a shortened post in the middle, on which the apical purlin is placed, which is stabilized in the longitudinal direction by strips. As a covering of the trusses above the wings, ceramic fired – beaver stone is designed.
The composition of the roof structure is designed with thermal insulation in the composition in both wings in the same way. Snow barriers will be installed on all proposed roofs in two rows above the eaves edge, including the roof of the tower.
