A large assignment with high demands on the variety of functional areas. Due to the large spans that are conditioned by the pool hall, the presented building is designed as a hybrid wall skeleton system of reinforced concrete in combination with wooden glued trusses. The author of the project, Ing. arch. Dušan Dóka admits to the construction in the interior. It adds value to the clean lines and beauty of the wooden elements of glued trusses with hidden joints with sensitively selected wooden cladding of perimeter vertical and horizontal structures. He dynamically depicts and acknowledges the construction of reinforced concrete columns and lintels in the interior, accentuated by their own duality, two worlds meet here: the world of the natural, but cultivated by the human hand in regular rhythmization, in contrast to the technical present and its harsh reality in the form of concrete load-bearing pillars evoking traffic viaducts. He deliberately designs the water surfaces of the pools into softer natural shapes. The whole space looks clean and refined. On the exterior side, the building has a contemporary and modern expression.
